Can someone teach me how to edit an armor mod's stats?
Specifically I'm editing the Underworld Armor mod. I've located the armor in the construction set and I've changed the values to what I want (I wanted to change it to light armor and adjust its weight). I'm not sure what to do next. I can't save it because I get the message that it's an active esp or masterfile. Also, I've disabled the esp in Wyrebash (main file is still installed). Still not sure how to save it.

I know that to some of you more experienced modders this is epic noobness on my part. Please go easy...

You can try with TES4edit, it allows to directly alter .esp

>Open TES4Edit
>Load Underworld Armor.esp
>Click + mark for Underwolrd Armor.esp
>Click + mark for Armor
>Look for the armor you wanted to change (It's easier to click Name tab on top then press the capital letter for the armor's name)
>If you find the armor you're looking for, now click the rows you wanted to change then press F2 to edit it.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Awesome! Worked perfectly. I have nothing against the author making it heavy armor. I just happen to be running a light armor character and there really aren't that many armor mods out there that don't look ludicrous. This armor looks amazing.

Thank you very much for your help and time!
