Audio stuttering issue when moving sideways or diagonally.
Would anyone know how to fix this? Whenever I move any direction but forward or backwards the audio will start stuttering, it's especially noticeable when casting spells or un/sheathing a weapon. I'm using the "Through the Valleys" mod guide, which includes stability mods like Display Tweaks and Engine Bug Fixes, so I'm not sure why this bug's persisting.

On Windows 11 go down to your system tray and right click the speaker icon
> then click on sound settings
> next, under the advanced section click on "more sound settings"
> select your currently enabled output device and click properties
> at the top of the screen select the "Advanced" tab
> finally uncheck the "enable audio enhancements" box under the signal enhancements section.

Oblivion has always had sound bugs, see here, maybe a solution in this.

You could also try setting computer sound to "stereo", not surround sound etc. Sometimes this causes stutters or no sound if it is behind you.

Old thread, but oh my god this problem's been a nuisance to me for like three years, any time I've come back to Oblivion. I've tried so many things, and it turns out all I had to do was UNCHECK ONE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ BOX in my sound settings. You're a hero, my man, thanks.

The only thing after many results that actually worked, thank you a year later.
