BUGS: Black guard armor?
So, as of recently I've been playing some oblivion. It's a damn good game, and I've spent many hours tweaking it & making it my own. Perhaps I might've screwed up, though.

The guard armor is black.
Just the guards, no one else has any glitches.
The reason I'm baffled is that the textures for it are there, but the "skin" of it is black. At the very least, the tunic is.
I've spent a few hours searching the web to see if anyone else has discovered this issue, however I've had no luck on the matter.

If anyone has any ideas on how to fix it or even any mod patches that may fix it, That would be great!!

What do you use for installing mods? Because it is most likely something as simple as using LOOT to reorder and making a Bashed Patch.

I just use plain Vortex, and I haven't downloaded anything manually.
Should I look into LOOT?

LOOT I thought was integrated into Vortex by default? It should sort your load order automatically, not "always" correct, but 99% it is.
I would consider downloading Wrye Bash just to create a Bashed Patch though. You do not have to use it for anything else.

Is it?
I hadn't noticed it, but I'll try it nonetheless just in case.
I do have Wyre bash, though. That's what Vortex definitely comes with. Should I maybe try to do some manual work in the files?

Just do a Bashed Patch first. Open Wrye Bash, click on Mods tab, go down to Bashed Patch, right click and build patch, follow instructions if it says to untick mods etc. When its finished just make sure its ticked and see if its sorted your texture problem out.

Only do manual work if you know what you are doing. edit: I just meant by that I do not want to be responsible for messing anything up for you. I do manual updates and xedit from time to time.

Just took another look at your mod list and you do know you have "Imperial Armor Replacement Elite black", which turns there armour black.

I do! It covers the imperial guards, however the other city guards seem to have an issue of outright missing the texture.
Even if I disable it, it doesn't seem to help much.
I'm going to try LOOT soon and see if it helps later, and I'll let you know if I have any more issues.
Thanks.
