Bravil Theif's Guild bounty payoff...

So I have a bounty for murdering 3 people ($1440) that I would like my TG connection in Bravil to handle for me.

Problem is, I can't get to her because the guards catch me before I can make contact. I'm only level 7 and can't sneak that well yet.

I really don't know why I have a bounty-my crime was in a remote Inn with nobody around; I killed everyone there, even the inocent innkeeper.

I guess I could use a invisibility scroll, but I don't have one and can't think where I could get one safely.

I'm used to Skyrim where as long as you don't commit crimes in your home hold, your good.

Anyone have ideas?

why not just go back to the waterfront and let the original doyen handle it?

as it's in the tamriel worldspace, it's considerably easier to access him than a doyen in a closed worldspace (like bravil)

the only problem i can think of is if you're in the middle of the quest where he's indisposed

He would no longer give me jobs, so I just assumed he was not there anymore, I will try that. I guess I could just pay it but, you know, it sucks because I was careful to not let anyone see and yet they know. Its like the guards have telepathy or something.

Also feel bad for the innkeeper, she died for no good reason. I'm sure a triple murder won't help my fame/infamy rating either.

In Oblivion, if anyone who "would" report a crime spots you commiting one, that's it: you're reported on the spot regardless as to the availability of any guards in the area. Clearing the Thieves Guild questline provides you with a special workaround for this.

With Knights of the Nine installed, visiting the wayshrines of all nine Divines will reset your infamy.
