(Fixed)Oblivion.esm missing! Will reinstalling game fix it?
Hello there,

I just recently installed TesModManager, but then switched to Oblvion mod manager, and I didn't download any mods yet, and I went onto NMM and opened Oblivion to see something and it said
"You are missing F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Oblivion\Data\oblivion.esm. Please verify your game install and ensure F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Oblivion\Data\oblivion.esm is present". Then I went to my Oblivion folder and I couldn't find it, and now whenever I open Oblivion through Steam, it just crashes. So how do I fix this? And if I reinstall Oblivion will that fix it?

Verify game files cache
Right click the game title in steam library then click Properties, then clickthe Local Files TAB, and choose to Verify game files cache

If you mod your game, it is always a good idea to save a Vanilla backup of your complete Oblivion folder (steam/.../Oblivion). I just had this issue, and all I had to do was copy/paste the Oblivion.esm back into my normal data folder.
