Benefit for high infamy?
As the title says, what's the benefit of having a high infamy? I knew that having a high fame give me a lot of benefit like a high disposition & access to specific quests but how about infamy?
I just finished my first playthrough and want to start a new game as a bad guy. But if having a high infamy only give me trouble, I think I am gonna reconsider it again

As for bad things, yes, lawful people will not like you very much, and you won't be able to use altars in temples to cure yourself. You have access to "evil" altar as a DLC.

What evil altar? are you talking about doomstone? or maybe daedric statues? I am pretty sure both of them can be accessed with low infamy

I was referring to the Shrine of Sithis, that's an evil version of altars of the Nine Divines, and you get it with Vile Lair DLC. You can only use it if your Infamy is greater than your Fame, while altars of Nine Divines require more Fame than Infamy.

Oh right, I forgot about that underwater house (I only use Frostcrag). But yeah, according to your explanation I don't think RP as a bad guy have many benefit in oblivion, maybe I should look for some mod first before trying this playthrough.
thanks for the answer kind sir

Technically, better haggling options with Shady Sam, as you cannot change his disposition outside of charm spells and personality. This applies to all merchants without an option to persuade that are in any evil faction
