Music replacer mods?
While the vanilla music is nice, it does get monotonous after a while. Does anyone know of any good music replacers akin to stuff like Fantasy Soundtrack Overhaul for Skyrim?

I don't think you need to add a mod to change the music and just need to add the music to the correct folders which will be detected by the game. They can be in MP3 format as well.

First of all create a new folder on your desktop called "Oblivion Music Backup Files" and then go to the Oblivion\Data\Music folder and copy that folder to it. When you have backed up the Music folder you can proceed.

In the Music folder are sub folders which contain music that plays at different parts of the game. The one I use the most is the Public folder as this is the music that plays when you're within city walls such as walking around Anvil or in a player home. I moved all the existing files out of this folder and replaced it with Mozart music and it fits perfectly.

The best way for you to test is to move the contents out of one of the folders and replace it with one track of your own. Then see if that track plays in the game. If it doesn't the bitrate might be too low.

The best way to test if adding your own music works is by removing the exisiting files so it makes it super important to backup the entire Music folder before you do anything. That way if crashes start happening you can just replace the entire folder from the backup.
