How to increase merchant sell cap?
Hi, recently i have been selling lots of high value items to a merchant, but i can only sell 2 at a time or it goes over his 1000 gold limit. is there something i can do to increase this count? Or do i just have to sell them 2 at a time. I'm selling varla stones to calindil in the imperial city if that helps.

I'm back to playing Oblivion, and the biggest gripe I have is that, while I can acquire items valued at thousands, even 10s of thousands in gold, the MOST I can sell those for is 1500, and then watch the vendor charge thousands or 10s of thousands for the item that s/he just paid bupkus for. No economy works that way, neither did Morrowind or Skyrim. Not to mention the never increasing or decreasing balance that the vendor displays. It's ridiculous, and not in any way, shape, or form, "immersive." Mods help, though I can't seem to get them working right with the Oblivion Rebirth+ collection.

Here's a concept - if a vendor does not have appropriate value on hand (goods and/or services), allow the vendor time to acquire the appropriate value. That's called "bartering," If the vendor wants to buy said item, and the customer agrees to a price, then allow a fixed amount of time for the vendor to come up with the gold.

I leave thousands in loot on every trip through an Oblivion gate, simply because I can't carry it all, even with multiple trips. All of the haggling is worthless because even a 5K dagger will never get me more than 1500 - I don't care where the slider sits. There's little motivation to increase my mercantile skills.

Way to necro a post. You can also get a shop mod that let's you buy a shop and it will sell items for a % value depending on your mercantile skill. If I remember correctly it comes with a master mercantile trainer that you can use and you need to buy upgrades to sell certain value items. Like 15k+ items are considered legendary and needs the legendary upgrade to sell.

Mod's a bit broken though as you will earn 100s K just dumping into the sale box. Money quickly becomes a non issue no matter what you buy.
