The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition (2009)

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition (2009)

I can't move and my controller won't work.
My keyboard works but i can't run. I do the action of running but i move like a dead slug. I tried multiple controllers and i can't move side to side. Just look a direction and move forward or backward in that direction. With new controller i can't even use other stick to look in direction to move. I can't play a game like this. I played it extensively on console and never had a single issue but with all these on steam it seems i'm only one having these issues.
Any help would be extremely appreciated if you come across this post. Thanks!

Dunno how to get it to work with controllers, but if you unplug the controller and restart the game you have full access to mouse and keyboard controls.
Oblivion doesn't have proper controller support. There is a mod however that adds it. Someone linked it to me when I asked a few questions. Look on the more recent pages and it should be there.

So while i was booting the game I checked the support and there was a small link for "known issues" and it explained to me a couple thinks i focused on. My issues has changed at this time.

I used these to help me -
nput Problems
Keyboard input problems could be the result of a control peripheral.
Editting the Oblivion.ini may correct this issue.
The Oblivion.ini file is located in the My Documents\My Games\Oblivion directory.
In the [Controls] section, change the “bUse Joystick=1” setting to “bUse Joystick=0” or simply disconnect the peripheral.
Make sure the settings are saved. Note, changes to the Oblivion.ini file will not be saved if Oblivion in running when the changes are made.

These are the default settings in the Oblivion.ini:
;X = 1, Y = 2, Z = 3, XRot = 4, YRot = 5, ZRot = 6

iJoystickMoveFrontBack=2
iJoystickMoveLeftRight=1
fJoystickMoveFBMult=1.0000
fJoystickMoveLRMult=1.0000
iJoystickLookUpDown=6
iJoystickLookLeftRight=3
fJoystickLookUDMult=0.0020
fJoystickLookLRMult=0.0020

Change to these values to get better functionality from a 360 game pad connected to a PC.
;X = 1, Y = 2, Z = 3, XRot = 4, YRot = 5, ZRot = 6
iJoystickMoveFrontBack=2
iJoystickMoveLeftRight=1
fJoystickMoveFBMult=2.0000
fJoystickMoveLRMult=2.0000
iJoystickLookUpDown=5
iJoystickLookLeftRight=4
fJoystickLookUDMult=0.7500
fJoystickLookLRMult=0.7500

Make sure the settings are saved. Note, changes to the Oblivion.ini file will not be saved if Oblivion is running when the changes are made.

So I adjusted as shown and it seems to have fixed the mobility issue with keyboard and mouse. But at the same time my controller will not connect to the game anymore. (Frowny Face)

Just use NorthernUI, if you wanted native controller support.
NorthernUIAway (Vanilla Style)[www.nexusmods.com]
".. gamepad support without actually reskinning the UI"

Not as ideal as native input
