I used Wirebash and I dragged/dropped files like the guide told me too. The guide also told me to use boss and loot and vortex. It's all Greek to me.
2) Click on the "installers" tab
3) Drop your zip (it will ask you if you wand to copy or to move choose whatever suit you best)
4) Right click on the mod file and click "Install"
5) Click on the "Mods" tab and check your mod
Give me the list of your mods so I'll make sure they don't need a special installation.
Good Luck mate
I will jot everything down when I get back home.
This is what I have downloaded:
Wirebash
Alive Waters
Better Saves
OBSE
OSR
OSR Multicore
Engine Bug Fixes
Blockhead
Pluggy
Unofficial DLC and Shivering Isles patches
Bomrets Textures for SI
GTP3 with updates
Menuque
Plus I have sorted the load with BOSS. So those may not be in the order that they load in or whatever. That said, should I maybe just uninstall and delete everything and start fresh and follow a different guide to get everything up and running?
Ok I've checked you mods and I think I know what's going on
Some mods, most of them can be installed with Wryebash or any mod installer without any problems but some should be installed manually.
Alive Waters, Better Saves, Unofficial DLC and Shivering Isles patches, Bomrets Textures for SI, QTP3 with updates ; all these mods can be installed with Wrybash without any problem because they follow the game structure files and folders.
OBSE, OSR, Pluggy, Blockhead, Engine Bug Fixes and MenuQue are better be installed manually (will do that together don't worry this is simple). I bet that the ones that cause problems are "OSR" and "Pluggy" but that can be any of the manul install ones.
When you're online contact me and we'll do the proper check and install. There is non reason you can not enjoy moded Oblivion.
I actually started fresh, followed a different guide with a different setup, and got it up and running looking oh so nice. Lol. If I would’ve known about communities like this before, I would’ve started gaming on PC a lot sooner. Thanks for going through my previous set up though! Now to get NV and Skyrim up and going.
On a side note, after I uninstalled/deleted everything, I did a scan of my PC and found that I had downloaded a trainer for a different game that had been malicious. It got deleted and boosted performance as well. If you are curious, it was a trainer for GTA3, cause I didn’t wanna go through the slog of trying to beat the timer on a couple of missions. I noticed the freezing on a couple of games after I tried Oblivion, so I kinda figured that something was sapping my performance.

This is the one I followed Tac.
Thank you very much!
