How do I get back Agility?
My stat screen says my Agility stat is damaged (in red). I drank a restore agility, cure disease, and cure poison potion and it didn't help. I also went to the Temple of the One and talked to the persons there. Nothing helped. I don't know where the wayshrines are. Is ther anything else I can do?

Check your active effects, it will list the source so you can treat it more accurately.

if casting a spell of restore 'attribute' doesn't work, removing disease, or praying at a chapel in a town doesn't work, then you have an item equipped that is passively reducing your agility.

check your active effects to make sure its not a disease or equipment that is lowering your attribute.
unequip everything that increases agility and use the temple/chapel services to restore your attributes (i usually use the altar at the Ald'Ruhn mages guild)

You said cure disease. Did you try cure blight.
Bottom right of your screen it should show in your hud what is affecting you.
Also beware gathering muck as sometimes you may miss the message "caused an awful mess", this affects your stats and you need to have a quick swim in a river.

This is the Oblivion forum, there are no Blight diseases in Cyrodiil as those were caused by emanations from the Red Mountain volcano in the middle of Vvardenfell. These emanations were halted by the Nerevarine defeating Dagoth Ur.

Muck is another Vvardenfell exclusive.

Try an actual chapel. Chorrol and Bruma chapels are quick to get to. Remove any Spell Absorb you have (jewelry, clothing, shield, etc) and take the blessing, it'll restore stats and cure disease. If you have the Atronach birthsign, save in front of the altar and reload until you get the restore agility effect.

Or you can try eating Fly Amantia Cap (very common, red and white mushroom, found in every district of imperial city), arrowroot (common-ish around Anvil, inside town and along the walls outside), emetic russula, summer bolete cap, cinnabar polypore red cap. Its the first effect on each one, so you can eat them raw or mix two of them into a potion at any skill level.

If you've done parts of the dark brotherhood questline, you may have the scales of pitiless justice in your inventory. This misc item drains and buffs some attributes, but I can't remember which. I don't think this effect shows in the magic window.

Does the atronach sign work with non hostile magic? I wasn't aware that reflect/absorb effects did that. I thought it only ever worked with spells that had a hostile effect to the target.

Scales are +2 Strength and Agility, -2 Intelligence and Personality,

Atronach / Spell Absorb works on magic cast on you that isn't an on-self effect. Wayshrines, Lucky Old Lady, Divine Altar, Magic Fonts (Blood Fountain in Oblivion gates for example), all have a chance to Absorb. Telekinesis cast by the Hero also has a chance to absorb; this is commonly abused by Atronach players for "free" spells and refilling their own magicka.
Reflect only works on hostile effects, iirc.

Wow, that's stupid.

I only know this because I have suffered the Atronach three times now.
If you've never done it, you're not missing much.
