Better NMM or OMM

As the title say i just downloed the game and i would like to try to install the unofficial patch.

Do you think it's better if i use Nexus mod manager or Oblivion mod manager ?

I'm interested to find the easiest way to download and manage mods because i'm stupid :)

I would recommend Wyre Bash actually. Even though it's slightly more difficult to use, there is a good guide to be able to use it which explains it very well.

But if I were to decide between NMM & OMM then I would go with OMM since its more mod friendly with Oblivion in comparison to NMM. NMM is a very generalised mod manager that can work with many games but for some oblivion mods it won't work because it requires a wizard is some cases.

However if you were intending only to use the unofficial patch then any mod manager would do I think.

NMM is easy and not the worst thing for small mods OMM works better for big stuff, normally doing it manual is the best if you know where the game is installed

One other thing , I installed OMM and i tried to install Unofficial patch for oblivion.
I did by in OMM create a new obmm and i select the Unofficial oblivion patch archive.
I took like no seconds to create while Shivering island patch took like 20 seconds with a pop up about compression.

Am i sure that the unofficial patch is installed as well? In OMM there is and it's with the green buttom .

I thought that if it was green, it hasn't been installed. It needs to be blue so if you double left click it, it should install and turn blue. After this, make sure that on the oblivion launcher when starting the game, you click 'data files' and make sure it's ticked to take effect and then play.

I downloaded OBSE e Oblivion stutter remover:
I installed both by copying the files in the oblivion folder,
But in data files they won't show up ,
Is it ok ?
I would like to play Kvatch rebuilt , i also installed but in game there is no pop up that tells me (Yes i know i need to wait some in game weeks but i thought some pup up would have came),

You really really...really....need to read each mod's readme files. Or you will end up breaking your game and losing your save. Different mods need the files to go in different places. Some have plugins you need to activate, some don't. Some will want you to only copy some of the files in the download to the data directory. Some will give you multiple plugins, but you are only supposed to choose one or a few to enable.

Don't worry about that with the data files, it's because there are no esp files with OBSE and the stutter removal but they will work as long as you installed them to the correct file levels.

About Kvatch rebuilt, make sure that's ticked in data files as that is a esp file and you need to complete the quest when you clear out kvatch of the daedra, then it should take effect.

One last question:

As i said i downloaded OBSE but i'm pretty sure it is not working ,
First i won the battle of kvatch but non pop up of the mission came and second and more important there are not 2 saves one.ess and one.obse on my save folder

I did copy and paste as in read me the three files + the data folder on my blablabla/common/oblivion folder

Any help o suggestion ?:(

I tried also Oblivion Reloaded but it is also not working (Also if both reloaded and kvatch rebuilt are with blue bottom in oblivion mod manager)

Solved: Overlay was turned off by running Oblivion as Administrator, turning it off seems to run everything perfectly

Isnt it usually never good to do manual installs ? Theyre way harder to remove and even if you know what youre doing you might ♥♥♥♥ it up.
