Mouse not working Upon Game start

Hey. Here's an odd thing that hasn't happened to me before. I played this game on Win XP through 10 but only on this latest update and only on steam version it appears that the Mouse ingame isn't working. I tried using the Trackpad and an external mouse, but the game doesn't seem to register mouse input.

Any idea on how to fix this issue? Is it common?

Hey pal, look I ve found some evidences of the cases where other people encountered the same issues and I looked into the problem so I found a way out of this problem.

I've found various forums online run into this issue recently, and have spent the last night searching for a solution, in doing so I decided to tear apart the Oblivion.ini file to see where this issue could be resolved.

Problem: Recent versions of Windows have keyboard issues where the keyboard gives no input to the game, primarily at the menu screen. The given way to fix this is to set "bUse Joystick=0" in the Oblivion.ini file, however many people including myself found this alone to do nothing.

Solution:
► Go into C:/User/Documents/My Games/Oblivion, and open Oblivion.ini in Notepad
► hit Ctrl+F and find:

bBackground Mouse=0
bBackground Keyboard=0
bUse Joystick=1

► Change to this:

bBackground Mouse=0
bBackground Keyboard=1
bUse Joystick=0

This will set the game to read all Keyboard input, and will disable all Joystick controls that may interfere with them.

► If your mouse has no input in the game either, change to "bBackground Mouse=1"

Ive had it in my pirate version as well, but at that time I thought it was the messed up game and repacker's fault
