Help! Can't change volume!
When I try to change my volume when using oblivion using my keys it doesn't work at all. Also I can't use the windows key either so I can't even exit quickly to change volume I have to close the game completely! How do I fix this?!

Have you seen how big that file is? What specifically are you looking for in there?

That would be Cntr + f in note pad

or the search icon (looks like binoculars) on the ribbon of NotePad++

Hi,

It can be done by:

1. Open Oblivion.ini (for instance, in Notepad)
2. Change bBackground Keyboard=0 to 1

Hope that helps!

Four years later, and this is still helping. Appreciate you!

you do know this is a very old post about how people couldn't actually access their device controls because the game is in full exclusive mode and doesn't allow alt tabbing and such because it disables those features by default, meaning no access to the volume control.

and if you have a knob for speakers that doesn't change the fact that people are trying to actually access the volume control within the pc itself, which you cannot do that unless you do what was mentioned above and enable the keyboard.
