screen flickering on full screen mode

but when i change it to windowed mode, it goes away.
anyone knows what causes this problem?

several things can cause this,
sli card and driver is update and sli is always turn off after such update.

and not using Quality mode setting on Graphic card.

rest is not made a clean install in Nvidia custom install then check box is there, a standard Nvidia Support Reply ( after windows core update and and all other unknown issue. )
and because of old game you might want to lock 60hz + v-sync

some old game work fine past 60hz, but it seem to be a good rule on old games try follow old tech.

no, unless you at least mention your computer specifications (including make/model of monitor)

if i were to make a guess, i would say your monitor is having issues with refresh rate used when the game goes into full-screen mode.

could u check if v-sync in enabled in the launcher? this should resolve screen tearing

its off. btw there is another game that has same issue. sims 4 on origin also had flickering when its on full screen. i think it has nothing with hardware.
