Unofficial Patches
I got both Unofficial Patch for Oblivion and Shivering Isles and enabled them on data launcher. But wasnt sure if it need to be in right order, since i dont have a way to get them in order.

Anyway not using any mods here, just vanilla Oblivion and these two official patches.

Just dont want to run into another crash like i did couple years ago. Believe it started in Shivering Isles and not sure what cause it.

Well i gave up this game few days ago. Nexus or whoever posted this unofficial patches both Oblivion and Shivering Isles, but didnt say load order or even use mod manager. The game itself is 32bit software and you have a limit of what you can do before you save it and come back later depending on your hardware.

I played it for awhile and got a crash heading to Skinag town w/e that place is when you pass those goblins on the road from Imperial City. The other one crashes alot in shivering isles and doesnt seem that these unofficial patches ever fix the problem. Some say it is pc, but i doubt it. This is the only game i having problems with and i have played many older games and not having any problems.

Not using any mods and i also did play vanilla without those unoffical patches and still crash time to time around Skinag* town and half way down in shivering isles.

Sorry to hear that you're unable to enjoy this game. I'm still having fun playing it without any crashes

What kind of computer do you have? I didn't have to do anything special to get this to work on mine. Use BOSS to rearrange your load order, since I don't think you can change the load order through the game. The unofficial patches have to be under whichever .esm they're for. (Unofficial Oblivion patch goes under Oblivion.esm, Unofficial Shivering Isles patch goes under ShiveringIsles.esm, etc)

if you don't want to install any additional tools to manage your mods (like OBMM, mopy) you can arrange your files manually by alrering it's date of creation (by editing its properties in file manager or explorer). the order goes as follows~
first file oblivion core files should be the oldest, leave it at their date. then you add your DLCs by setting it to newer date compared to base game (shivering, horse armor, oreiry etc).

then you have patches:
unofficial oblivion patch (+ 3 other small patches from this pack)
Si patch
all patches for DLCs

the rule is to put DLC patches after main and SI patch. sort files by date and see if anything have to be edited to have correct order. or it would be easier to use mopy (it now have standalone executable and can help to sort your mods)
