War axe of depletion.
Hi,I found this unenchanted axe,the wiki says the unofficial patch fixed it,but apparently not in my game.

I don't care about the axe (although good one),but if my patch is installed correctly.

In the inventory, under "misc",I have a tool to configure the patch,so it seemed installed to me...has anybody experianced it before?
I'm new to Oblivion..

Some aspects of the patch may not apply correctly if you don't tell your mod manager to perform archive invalidation on your game. I'd expect this particular fix to work anyway - it was apparently added in version 3.0.0 of the patch (from like a decade ago), so it's a bit of a head scratcher. An older version would be difficult to stumble across by accident.

Definitely look into archive invalidation if you're not familiar with it, though, as there's all sorts of broken stuff that'll slip through without it. Assuming you're using OBMM, go through Utilities => Archive Invalidation => Reset BSA Timestamps.

Thank you for the answer:-)

I am new to Oblivion modding, but I understood that while using OBMM you better do the archive invalidation.
Without knowing exactly why, I did it on all the mods/patches I downloaded, but I might have missed one or two I guess:-)

I just did it again on the UOP, but "reset BSA timestamp" doesn't react, the box above is ticked under "BSA alteration", all boxes below are ticked and I pressed "update now" as usual.

Ah, I could not use WB as my OS (win 10) misses a thing.

It's not a big deal for the axe itself, but apart that I wanna learn these things, if the UOP isn't installed well, it might give me problems later...but teh game runs super fine....weird:-)

Anyways thanks a lot!

That's fine, it's not supposed to change anything in the OBMM list. It's literally re-ordering the time stamps of the files on your drive (assuming they aren't already matching your load order).

If you'd like to perform an additional test: try dropping a paintbrush. If it hovers in the air instead of falling, then the patch certainly isn't working as it should.

@Bomb Bloke, hahahahah you made melaugh with the paintbrush test, thanks:-))

Will surely try to do it tonight...In a sense I wish it will float, otherwise the axe will be a mistery.

Ah yes, the paint brushes. Without the patch and mods those were the way you'd get onto high buildings on the console version

And the brush fell on the floor.....

Mah,the misteries of different machine spftware configuration I guess...or some sort of wizardy:-)
