Definitely look into archive invalidation if you're not familiar with it, though, as there's all sorts of broken stuff that'll slip through without it. Assuming you're using OBMM, go through Utilities => Archive Invalidation => Reset BSA Timestamps.
I am new to Oblivion modding, but I understood that while using OBMM you better do the archive invalidation.
Without knowing exactly why, I did it on all the mods/patches I downloaded, but I might have missed one or two I guess:-)
I just did it again on the UOP, but "reset BSA timestamp" doesn't react, the box above is ticked under "BSA alteration", all boxes below are ticked and I pressed "update now" as usual.
Ah, I could not use WB as my OS (win 10) misses a thing.
It's not a big deal for the axe itself, but apart that I wanna learn these things, if the UOP isn't installed well, it might give me problems later...but teh game runs super fine....weird:-)
Anyways thanks a lot!
That's fine, it's not supposed to change anything in the OBMM list. It's literally re-ordering the time stamps of the files on your drive (assuming they aren't already matching your load order).
If you'd like to perform an additional test: try dropping a paintbrush. If it hovers in the air instead of falling, then the patch certainly isn't working as it should.
Will surely try to do it tonight...In a sense I wish it will float, otherwise the axe will be a mistery.
Mah,the misteries of different machine spftware configuration I guess...or some sort of wizardy:-)
