Have steam, wanting to buy deluxe, but 'you already own this content'?

As it says in the title, I own the game of the year edition. I'd like to purchase the official mods as well, but when attempting to purchase the 'deluxe' version, I'm told that I already own this content. Is there any way to fix this?

after doing my research did you get any extra quests after the tutorial? one problem is the dlc is not seperate from the game. you will have to buy the deluxe edition if you want the dlc. I suggest getting it now if you want to purchase it because it is 5.99 until june 25.

That's my problem. I already own the non deluxe version.

However, if I try and purchase the deluxe version, it tells me that I already own the GOTY edition, and cannot purchase it 'again.'

I'm having this problem as well. I can't seem to find a "ignore that one and buy it anyway" option.

Just checked and these "official dlcs" are useless as hell. You really shouldn't botter with them at all. (4 dlcs are houses, a mage one, a vampire one, a melee one and a thief one. 1 dlc is armors for horses. 1 gives a new dagger in some dungeon. And 1 give you a quest to repare some dwemer artifact and gives you a useless spell from it) Basically these are just mods that became "official" and buyable. And you can't buy them anymore anywhere because of how angry players were (but still part of the deluxe)

Thank you for your input, but I remember them fondly even if they are 'useless as hell,' and want them anyway.

Then the only way I can think of is deleting your oblivion from steam (you have to go in support for this) and then buying the other one :/

Check your account details and purchase history, try to search for oblivion, if it doesn't find scroll to the bottom and click more until the search function find the game, it should display that you bought the deluxe already.
