Fort Rayles
Found this gaff and yet I cannot open the iron gates... I have looked all around and outside but nothing? There is a lever on the other side of one of the gates but how do you reach that?

Fort Rayles is North West of Chorrol BTW.

Have you checked everywhere in the vicinity for a lever? I'm not familiar with that location but I've found forts with locked iron gates that are opened by a lever nearby. The UESP page doesn't mention anything about locked gates so it could be right under your nose.

Thanks for that! I did try pressing those silver dots but that didn't work - thought they might have something to do with it :-)

There are two stone statutes by the gate. Each one has a gem embedded in it. Use an arrow or fireball to shoot the gem out of the statute and the gate will open.
