It is generally not a good idea using NMM for Oblivion, unless you really know what you are doing as most mods are not compatible, but from what I can tell the Unofficial patches should be okay.
So any mod I want can be installed with Oblivion Mod Manager you say?
If you open the Unofficial Patches file you will see they have no data folder, but do have data sub folders so should be okay to use with NMM.
However many Oblivion mods come packaged as Omods or for a BAIN install, which contains an 00 Core folder and other similiar named folders. Those files will not be compatible with NMM, unless they also come with a fomod installer for use with NMM, which is rare.
Oblivion Mod Manager or TES Mod Manager are ideal for Oblivion modding.
