Game crashes immediately after start up
Anytime I attempt to start oblivion it crashes before even the bethesda logo shows up.
I've reinstalled at least 5 times now and none of those times have fixed it, anyone know what could be the cause for this?

It could be the load order, run loot. Or it could be that the game launches at a higher resolution than the monitor supports. Perhaps try reset the graphics settings and se if that helps.

load order's fine, oblivion is on top and everything else is below, even when I only activate oblivion it crashes, and I've reset the graphics and it still crashed

look in windows event viewer. might be a game crash event.

also run reliability monitor. in windows search run
perfmon /rel
the red x's and yellow !'s may be related issues.

post your mod load order. maybe someone can spot a problem

I found this error in the logs anytime I started oblivion:

Oblivion does not launch, try deleting My Documents/My Games/Oblivion/ini file (NOT the one in your Steam folder). When you relaunch it will rebuild it.
