Savlian Matius Glitch

so i'm at the part of the 'Seige of Kvatch' quest where i've gone to find the count and get his ring. at the last room i was cornered by 3 scamps, and i'm a pretty low level so i used 'killall'. i figured since i was in a different area, it wouldn't effect Savlian. but upon returning to the room he was in, i got a 'Savlian Matius is unconscious' message, and sure enough he was collapsed on the ground. i figured i'd wait for him to get up so i could finish the quest, but when he got up i couldn't interact with him anymore. there's no speak option, my attacks don't hit him, and i can walk through his model. is there anything i can do to fix this?

Yeah, there is; reload a save from before you used that console command. The "killall" console command does just what it says; it kills all NPCs except those who are still needed for quests, and whether or not you're in a different cell is irrelevant. It's one of the commands that you shouldn't use unless you make a hard save first.

After you reload a save, go away and get something to kill the scamps (a follower, perhaps?).
