The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition (2009)

How to buy the Deluxe content?
Hey guys,

I have Oblivion GOTY Edition.

If I buy GOTY DELUXE Edition, will i have two separate games in my library??

If this is the case, is there a way to "update" Goty edition to goty deluxe without having two separate games?

Hey, my mistake.

Actually I checked my receipt and in fact I bought GOTY Deluxe. But when I click on the game and see it's properties, it says only Goty Edition.

Why?

That's the way it works. If it says GOTYE: Deluxe, rest assured that you DO have the Deluxe Edition. The main difference between the two versions is that the GOTYE version has the main game, the Shivering Isles expansion, and the Knights of the Nine DLC. The GOTYE: Deluxe version, has those three things plus five additional DLCs. It appears in the game's Properties as "Oblivion Game of the Year DLC", so to check that, right-click on the game in the Steam library, then select "Properties", then click the "DLC" tab.

They will not be two separate games, you will merely have the additional dlc added to your existing game.

Steam doesn't recognize the difference between GOTY and GOTY Deluxe, which makes it hard to upgrade to GOTY Deluxe. There should be only one Oblivion offered on steam, like they only officially offer one Skyrim (SSE) and one Morrowind. It would save a lot of confusion and grief.

Hey guys, thank you all for the enlightenments. It seems that in fact I have Deluxe Edition, since it shows as Valden21 told in the DLC tab.

Regards
elder scrolls Morrowind should be updated with better graphics we should not have to install the free mod, sorry I had to go off topic, but I agree with the above steam should only sell one version with DLC buy inns optional but I hate buying DLC its a cash grab like, people trying to sell a muffin Top, we want the whole thing just like a game not being a chopped up file system.

Thank you Valden21 so much for the clarification. Gosh why do they have to make it so confusing?
