I have GOTY, how can I upgrade to Deluxe version?
Hi to all,
as subject I have Oblivion GOTY but I want to buy the Deluxe version and so get the mini DLCs pack. If I open the store page at Deluxe, it says that I already own the game and is ready to install but this is not true.
Someone can tell me how can I get the deluxe version?

Thanks.

Since there's no upgrade option, you'll need to remove Oblivion from your account and buy the Deluxe version. This article explains how to remove games from your account:

https://www.pcworld.com/article/3012199/steam-makes-it-easier-to-permanently-remove-games-from-your-account-heres-how.html

It may take some minutes (30 minutes max) for Steam to recognize that this game isn't in your account anymore, so you can buy the Deluxe version.

Don't be afraid, tho, even if Steam says that this game will be permanently removed from your account, you can restore it later if you wish (just do the same method and in the end choose an option like "This game is not in my library"). This method actually hides games from your account, so you can buy upgraded versions later (or hide some games you don't want to show up in your profile and library). You can always restore removed games in the future if you wish.

Thank you, I'll consider that but I think it will be better to buy that version on GoG instead :-)

You're welcome :)
Yeah, buying on GOG would be nice. No DRM!

Er, no. Hiding is a different procedure. This does actually remove the game from your library, just as the article says, and the only way to "restore" is to "rebuy" - if this weren't the case then it wouldn't solve the problem at hand!

The actual removal page is also quite clear on the matter.

This is all you need to know:

I wouldn't call that "hidden" (Steam has a specific mechanism for doing that), but it's still useful to know that it's possible to restore them!
