Unfriendly Competition quest - missing book
As said in topic, when I entered the basement of Agamir's house, there was no book on the table...I can't find it :o

Could be a framerate issue: the physics engine goes crazy if you let it go above 60FPS, which can cause items to get launched when you enter a room. It might've landed in a corner somewhere.

If you really can't find it, then the game might accept a copy generated through the console:

player.additem 0001D046 1

Thank you so much. The command worked :)

Just outta completeness I wanted to mention that your competitor MIGHT have gotten there first. I know that that happened with me one time and I had to steal it from her.

That command works, but, damn it, the quest is not updated since that I have it, so I am stuck.

Make sure that your objective is breaking into Agarmir's and not just following him to see where he lives. You should've received a quest update when you entered his basement.

Havan's confusing things with a different quest[en.uesp.net], don't worry about it.

Enter:

getstage MS29

This'll return a code number, indexing into this list[en.uesp.net]. I assume it'll say 60.

If so, then try:

setstage MS29 65

The game is buggy and there is a lot to go wrong in this game.
You might want to bookmark the uesp website it's better for explaing bugs and has a list of commands so you can workaround the many bugs.
