weird controller glitch

so i don't have anywhere in my house that i can sit my laptop down an use mouse an keyboard so i have to use a controller but i have this weird glitch where when i press to triggers to attack or block my character starts moving to the side so if i hold my shield up even without actually moving my character will just stat waling to their right and when i rapidly press attack my character will just make rapid steps to the left does anyone know a fix for this? i'm using the controller emulation program built into steam and i'm using a ps4 controller

I know it's been a long time but I justed started oblivion with an Xbox elite controller and it's doing the same thing only when blocking and attacking. Did you ever find a fix?

Same thing here. Works perfectly except for the sidestepping when using triggers. It is absurd that there is NOTHING about this anywhere online with a fix or answer of any kind...

Now everything is working perfect except I cannot move right analog stick while pressing the right trigger(attack) which is extremely problematic for obvious reasons.
Don't suppose anyone has any solutions for that?
I just want this to work so bad lol if anyone has the answer you'd be doing me such a solid foreal.

No problem. Some people use the mod Northern UI. I use the program Xpadder, for games without proper controller support.

ahh my only problem with that is you need the script extender. As much as I would love to I can't play with mods because they all require the script extender and I did everything perfect step by step a year or so back and it still wouldn't work. Even offered to pay a friend who is much more knowledgable with stuff like that and he spent 5 hours trying to figure it out and it just won't work for me. Thanks for the advice though

The controller not related to OBSE if that’s what you mean. Northern UI may or may not need OBSE.

What Ini and option? I have the saves file folder ini and the game folder ini.
