CD key?

I have the physical version of the game but I cannot find the CD key...

I wish I could own the game on Steam...

Installing from the disc just added the Steam version to my account for me automatically.

Non-Steam copies of Oblivion don't rely on CD keys. They simply require you to keep the installation disc in your drive while playing.

Wait why didn't it add the Steam version as well? Is that because it was a second-hand CD copy? Or because it is the 5th anniversary edition of the game?

I know, I kinda dislike the whole "please have the CD in the disk drive to play the game" I understand it's for preventing unauthorized copies of the game but it's kinda far-fetched honestly...


I'll surely buy Morrowind and Oblivion in the next sales... I don't really care about Skyrim special edition

I suppose you do have the option of just adding your copy into the Steam client. Sure, it won't be on your account, but why does that matter? It's not like it has achievements or anything.

To be honest I would like to have the TeS games in my account (and to make it easier to take and share screenshots with)
