Unable to open Console pls Help

I used to be able to open my console by pressing my ~ key but it no longer works. pressing ~ does nothing, even when i uninstall and re install my game. is there anyway to fix this so that i can use my ~ key again?

no, it's a u.s. Keyboard. i used to be able to open it by pressing my ~ key. but then all of a sudden it just stopped working. i was wondering if maybe there's a command or a setting or something i could do?

In Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Oblivion.ini, check that bAllowConsole is set to 1.

If it already is, then it's probably third-party software interference. You might find it easiest to use a mod to work around it:

Duude thanks so much <3 sucks that my winzip trial has expired lol i can't extract the files. happen to know any apps that i can use to extract the files instead of winzip? i don't have the $19.99 for the license right now

Every version of Windows since XP has been able to extract ZIP files without any third-party software - if you just uninstall WinZip, you should be good to go.

That said, it's well worth having a decent archiving program on hand, and 7Zip is entirely free:
