Combat custom classes.
Basically, either post or talk about custom classes that fall under the 'Combat' specialization. Combat's pretty fun and easy, so here I go:

Imperial (Orcs/Nords are ugly.)
The Warrior Birthsign
Heavy Armor
Blade
Athletics
Block
Destruction
Restoration
Armorer

That's my class, simply to add to the discussion. I think that magic's a good addon to the character despite magic effectiveness being lowered by the 'Heavy Armor' skill.

Magic is great for a warrior, Security and Speechcraft are quite useless, especially for a Combat class. Speechcraft is likely the most useless skill while Security is for stealth. Also, you could have edited your post instead of saying that you forgot the other bracket.

"Combat's pretty fun and easy" - I have to assume this guy's playing on game in below normal difficulty.

I play on default difficulty and have a character that is nearly level 30. I just know how to level my character without enemies being too powerful over me.
Well if the skills you posted are your major skills, and you are playing a warrior it doesn't look like it. With oblivions level scaling you typically wanna put skills you don't use in the major skills so you can level the skills you ACTUALLY use without leveling up too fast. That way you can get +5 bonuses and enemies won't wreck your ♥♥♥♥.

I see, but I don't level up as soon as I can, to counter that fact. I usually level up each of my major skills 10-30 times before resting to level up.

Armor in this game doesn't make much difference what you have, use light Armor if you want. The damage reduced is so low that it's not even able to protect you from arrows. Use a heavy shield, other than this it doesn't matter. 99% of the armor is just visual candy. The damage reduction between heavy and light is close to nonexistent. Use both if you want, the game doesn't like when you stack one type of stat. Considering how weak bows are in the game destruction is a good ability for a melee. Long sticks like longsword and spears are better, most of the time a single hit is close to be killing because the fact that armor is only for style and don't have weaker or stronger parts. Enemies are spongebobs, the armor itself doesn't provide any of the protection.

Okay, I might try that on my next character. For now, ordinary playthrough.
So to counteract the bad level scaling, you just never sleep basically Vortex?

So simple yet... so ingenius...

No, I do sleep, read what I said. Of course, when I can't level up the major skills anymore, I rest at random times when I feel my character is strong enough.
"basically"

My Custom class has the following major skills
Blade
Block
Alteration
Illusion
Mysticism
Acrobatics
Marksman

By having one of each type as a major skill it allows me to more closely control when I level my character. You'll note that all of them are skills that you can elect to "practice" easily as well.

Levelling your character is a rare thing for me, I stick to my level until I've done a big upgrade. It's so I can shrug off wounds and crush the enemy NPCs without problems.

I also play with custom combat class that is very similar to yours. I picked speechcraft instead of destruction.

On normal difficulty character is quite strong. On 35 level I can literally tank ten strongest daedras at the same time and not even be remotely close to death.

Speechcraft is useless, tbh. I prefer Combat-magic builds, such as spellswords.

Picked speechcraft just for roleplay purposes. Other than that I agree, it's useless.
