Rechargeable soul gem or similar?
I never used magic items before but to charge magic items, we use soul gems. but to fill soul gems, we need to use soultrap on creatures. And after we use the soul gems, they disappear. Is there any sustainable method for charging items? Because eventually we'll be out of soul gem stock. Thanks in advance!

Azura's Star. It's a Daedric artifact that's basically a rechargeble Grand Soul Gem. You get it from completing Azura's Daedric quest, which you can do starting at level 2. Without mods, it's basically the only rechargeable soul gem in the game.

But I gave it to somebody, I think for the main quest. Is there any way to get it back?
Well you could use console commands

The problem with that is that it might break the main quest.

That's like saying that firing a nail gun "might" kill somebody - sure, if used incorrectly, console commands can break quests, but there isn't some random chance that this'll happen for every command you enter. Simply spawning in a fresh copy of the Star is fine, as that doesn't unset the "Martin has his artifact" flag.

Varla Stones and Welkynd Stones found in Ayleid Ruins will recharge your magical items completely.
Welkynd Stones will recharge the currently-equipeed item.
Varla Stones will recharge all items in your inventory.

Save Soul Gems for Enchanting new items, and use Welkynd and Varla Stones to recharge.

Hmm. I seem to recall them recharging enchanted weapons.

Merchants restock soul gems without mods, right? I know I've certainly bought hundreds. There's a bit of a markup on, eh, jailbreaking them, and I've made some decent clink doing so.
