And like I said, it looks like the spell doesn't actually being resisted from the guards. The effect is different from being resisted.
You see, when an illusion spell get resisted, it sort of like blocked, rather than absorbed which is when it works.
F**k, it's really hard to tell the 'effect' differences with English.
you get max possible spell effect only if you cast without armor.
Please stick to the point. Is the guard immune to Frenzy or not, is that too hard to answer?
If you can't give me the answer of 'Yes they are immune because of this-', then just leave this thread alone and mind your own business. Why do you people always bother to answer at least something while you don't even know the answer??
You realise that you are asking people to help you then throwing sand in their face when they try to clarify the point...?
Either way, why would guards even be immune to frenzy? It sounds like you need a higher level spell
If you ask people how to make a sweet role and someone answers you with 'can you drive a truck?', would you consider this as a help? Because I don't.
Their level is 50, and my spell works against NPC up to 75 level with 100% spell effectiveness.
Like I said AGAIN, the spell actually WORKS against them.
But the guards do not attack anyone on sight. They did attack my summonings, though.
This 'guard frenzy immunity' I'm talking about is not a same immune effect as the creatures struck by frenzy. That is a different immune.
The effect has the difference, okay?
When the struck NPC resisted the spell, they sort of 'block' the spell.
When the spell actually works against NPC, they sort of 'absorb' the spell.
And when I cast this Frenzy spell on guards, they 'absorb' the spell.
It's really hard to describe especially with my poor English.
axes about oblivion guards and then talks about his poor england. unbelievable...
okay, here is what i've found by simply entering "oblivion frenzy" in popular search engine...
since guards are constantly ten levels higher than the player, a high magnitude frenzy spell and 100% spell effectiveness are necessary to affect them.
I'm not sure if that also applies to spells that are levelled higher than 25. Those don't exist in the base game.
As for whether the spell should work on guards, apparently it should, but only if certain other targets are nearby:

as far as i remember, visual effect is different for when spell power is insufficient. it looks like nothing happens at all. so yeah, i know what you are talking about.
