Leveling too fast?
So this is the first time in 10+ years that im playing oblivion and i remember my older brother turning it down to easy for me. But im so confused so is it bad if my stats are only going up by twos and threes. I wanted to be a battle mage
so i chose
blunt
destruction
resoration
conjuration
alteration
athletics
light armor
for my stats and am levling up superfast but only getting two or three stat points for each category. Is that bad? Do I want fives across the board each level up. Im mainly using destruction, restoration, conjuration, and blunt with light armor. I just want to make a battle mage I guess with cool demon pets.

I would heavily recommend not choosing athletics as a primary skill as it will level up faster than any of your other skills because you are always using it in and out of combat and you may become unbalanced and find it difficult later on as this games difficulty scales with your level.

Leveling up by 2 and 3 is quite normal, I may be wrong but I think it is based on what you used most during that level period be it agility, strength, endurance, etc.

1 the speed for leveling can be modded
if you want a mod that manage that
1 one must begin a new game with that leveling mod
with the creation kit one can alter the speed how many points youu need to increase a stat and such if you interested
whats most importasnt in thats game is proper stat placement if level up an when level up trainin allways focus on 2 stat + luck
sicne drops and crit chance rolls on luck all stats cap at 100
with spell buff and enchants it can be increased slight higher

most important stats as early are endurance and luck
endurce gievs max health
agility give stamina bonus
strength give stamina bonus
int gievs magika bonus
wisdom gives magika bonus
personality makes illusion stealth and merchantile buy and sell easier
luck handles all drop chances and cirticla hit chances and all chances overall
all stats are base max at 100
enchantment and spells can stack upon base stat

aall stats gain max bonus at each level up so the earlier you train some stats that better base max you get

altering the level speed will also alter the max level
all enemies share same level as you
training minor stats can be done without affecting your expierience gain this on other hand will give stat bonus at level up.

make your own class to make sure your stats scale properly as you desire.

so place the skills that you most commonly use as minor skills
so that the stuff you do less offen can be used for leveling this will slow down your level up speed!

only major skills give expierience to level up!

with this you choose if you want to master stats or if you rather want to stay low level

most important stat is endurance since the higher it is the more health you get at each level up meaning you can endure more damage.

the most optimum leveling is to see one has +3-+5 at stat level up as bonus
paralyze will help incombat as spell and as wepaon enchant
illusion and sneaking allows you doing 6 times the damage as sneak attack
and ignore the enemy defense at the same time if you sneak you remove npc conbat alert if you use maxxed sneaking with high efficiency chameleon type spell.
invisibility is only working if you same time are sneaking as well!

spell crafting from mage guild unlocks heal other and more complex spells

your chocie on how you want to make your chatacer
if you desirce stat focues or low level combat
its your choice and it must be fun for you

I modified Inari Race mod and make my Inari Character... Very fragile. STR 10 and END 10. LCK 100 though. Very funny to play till level 10 with 100% difficulty slider. Melee is big NO. =)

Olbivion Gates are very painful though. Sneaking and shooting with the bow like true marksman with poisoned arrows. =)
But I kind of don't understand OP... Why not to use the old trick from TES:Arena - dump your less used skills as primary?
