Swimming In Mid Air

I've been doing the Cheydinhal Recommendation quest. I just recovered the Ring of Burden and every time I exit the well, I end up stuck in mid air as if swimming. I can't move at all. I've tried entering and exiting the well a bunch of times to no avail. Does anyone have any idea how to escape this glitch so I can move on?

Edit: I found that using the console and fast traveling to the Cheydinhal Fighter's Guild did the trick. I dropped to the floor and could finally walk again and finish the quest.
