You're probably getting very few responses because nobody has the exact same combination of mods and haven't re-created the situation you mention themselves.
Uninstall the mods and retry. Oblivion isn't half-bad vanilla.
So a non-temporary fix AND being able to use the mods I like to use would be pretty good. If I had to decide, I would rather have a minor inconvenience than a lower quality experience.
Anyways, those problems you're seeing they probably come from the one of those camera enhancement mods.
If you can live without that for a test, just try to uninstall Enhanced Camera and disable the camera mode in OR and see if it still happens... I only use Oblivion Reloaded (an old version) and I never even had those issues myself (not even when I used the latest version either.)
Also, Deadly Reflex is a known source of camera problems too... but those should only happen while fighting, IIRC.
If you're using Oblivion Reloaded you don't need Alt Tab Fix, OneTweak and Fake Fullscreen... Oblivion Reloaded adds the borderless window fullscreen mode to the game and it doesn't crash anymore while alt-tabbing... you just have to make the proper edits on the OblivionReloaded.ini.
EDIT: Also, Engine Bug Fixes is pretty much a must IMO, if you aren't using it, I'd suggest you to add it... it solves many hidden bugs and and stuff that help making Oblivion more stable.
Another cause of camera issues is if you died and tried to use the resurrect command on yourself. But that tends to be a lot more noticable.
Is the inn itself from a mod? That could be part of the problem too.
Does this affect anything but doors? Are you having interaction problems with other internactables?
Sorry Buddy! Role-playing is best left for kinky costumes, YouPorn and cute Japanese girls.
Oblivion is no different than a machine. If you start screwing with the machines intricate parts, it breaks, and you'll be role-playing by yourself using your imagination!
Its a matter of priorities... wanna play with questionable mods and a broken game? Or do you you want to play Oblivion... and it works?
When in doubt, uninstall mods and start at square one.
The author asked for a help, and they probably have already recieved help, as it most likely was a problem with OR's sleeping mode, OR's camera mode and/or Enhanced Camera.
Oblivion is an RPG, it's meant for roleplaying. Don't insult people who do want to immerse themselves and become their character. This is how I enjoy the game. And no, roleplay is not always sexual.
Oblivion was made for modding, and if done correctly it doesn't break. I have hundreds of mods that keep the game lively for me and have allowed me to still play this game since I bought it on release.
Your comments about roleplaying in this game are just idiotic. That's the point of an open world *roleplaying game*
You have an opinion. You don't like mods.
We have our own opinions. We like mods.
You think you are right.
We think we are right.
The difference is we are actually trying to fix the problem, while you seem to be overzealously trying to purge all mods from existence. Thank you. We understand. Can we get back to fixing the problem?
Leeux, it happens everywhere with everything, the inn was just an example (although it was there that I noticed that I can interact with stuff through walls because of this bug). Also, I noticed that I can't disable Enhanced Camera. I'm using Wrye Bash and NMM, but Enhanced Camera doesn't appear in Wrye Bash, and disabling it in NMM doesn't seem to do anything. I can only guess that something else is keeping the mod activated.
I have Engine bugfixes downloaded.
Disabling Camera Mode does help... kind of. Now my visual camera (so the point where I see stuff from) follows the interaction camera. This means my camera wanders around when I just turn left with my character. At least now I can define and clearly see what the problem is. Still only happens after I sit/lie down.
After I invalidated the enhanced camera mod (modified the extension), the problem still persists, so I'll take the guess that it doesn't have anything to do with it.
You are right about fake fullscreen and OneTweak, I didn't actually need them, launching the game from Obse_Loader while OneTweak is disabled also works. Doesn't fix the problem though.
That leaves Oblivivion Reloaded. It seems like my camera is simply pushed left on the X axis when I use a chair or a bed. But as the camera mode is disabled, I don't really understand what might be doing it. Sorry for the length of this post, but had quite a few things to try.
Because, if it's directly in front of you just following your cross-hairs line ahead of you, I'm almost sure that was a bug present in some incarnations of Deadly Reflex, not sure under which circumstances it started to happen myself, as I never had it... but I remember the reports about it in the mod's old official threads.
First thing, and I'm sure you'd have mentioned if it was the case, but just in case:
Are you using the "See You Sleep" mode that comes with Oblivion Reloaded, right? Or are you using the old external mod for that? The mod is not compatible with OR, not even with the custom camera disabled... AFAIK. I'm just trying to understand what could be happening... and trying to narrow down possible common issues... and also, your Oblivion Reloaded is latest version?
Personally, I'm almost sure (as much as one can be :P) that Oblivion Reloaded doesn't have such problem, I have been using it for ages now and I made my character sleep in all kind of weird places (like sleeping inside a small tent, for example... where the camera collided like crazy with the tent sides) and I always used the "See You Sleep" mode of OR with no problems myself... so this has to be something else entirely :/
Though, if you have installed the latest version, I could see it being a bug/regression in that version, as I haven't updated nor I intend to for a while at least... my game's stable enough for me at this point and I don't want to introduce uncertainties again :)
Also, pretty sure OR versions come with a custom skeleton.nif that replaces the main animation skeletons for humanoids... that has been the case for a while, I think. So make sure that that's installed correctly and that no other mods are replacing it, specially mods that aren't derived from a fully customized skeleton like Coronerras, or Growlf's Universal one. That includes mods like: Realistics Physics and Force, and some others that come with a modified vanilla skeleton too just for altering bone weights (some "carry corpses" mods and such do that.)
But you are following the good road, trying to narrow it down one step at a time... the best practice I know when you're faced with a problem that you don't know from which mod it comes, is to attack the problem by removing mods one at time, and see if something changes or if the problem stops.
Other than what we already said, I'm not sure that there's much more to explore... it'll have to be mostly debugging and troubleshooting on your side :`(
One thing that could help further if you have time, is 1. posting some kind of screenshot of the bug in action, at least showing the relative placement/geometry of how the bug manifest, and 2. post your complete load order... could it be something that's in there, maybe.
I mean, I seem to have a faint recollection of something like you're describing happening to me a long loooong time ago... but I have no clue when/what/why etc... it was certainly at the time I was playing FCOM... that was ~2008 or so, perhaps seeing old mod names would help me remember :D

It's always the same distance to the left of my character, it looks at the general direction my character is looking, but it's like I have two different cameras for viewing stuff and for interacting with them (collision mesh is still where the visual camera is), and the camers for interacting is just to the left of my point of view. (Another separate y axis in the wrong place)
It happens with chairs and beds too, and I don't use any separate mods to see myself sleep but I have a third person view of my character lying in bed.
I don't have a physics improving mod installed.
Also, weirdly enough, earlier when I sat down in a chair, this bug instantly took effect, but now only after standing up does it start happening.
I'm not near my computer right now, but I'll try disabling Deadly Reflex too. Also, noob question, but is there a quick and painless way to copy my load order?
If you aren't using one, I highly recommend at least considering using one... it makes your life much easier, and myself I fully recommend Wrye Bash as it's the best (subjective) mod manager for Oblivion IMO.
In any case, if you have no other way of doing it, for the purposes of this thread you can directly copy and past the content of the Plugins.txt file, located in your
You can paste that on your search box and lookup the folder quickly.
That file doesn't normally contain the real order in which the plugins load, but it should at least show which ones are loading.

Seems to be missing enhanced camera for some reason.
I started up the game today, and the bug is completely gone. So yeah... I'm stupid, and forgot that conflicting mods can cause problems. Thanks for the help though, really appreciated.
But yeah, I'd advise, as I always do... install just *one* mod at a time (not counting compatibility patches that could be needed for taking into account mods you already have installed), and always check your game's workings afterwards.
I mean, always take the time to do some testing runs after each mod installation, maybe with a test char or something... that way, if something breaks/screw up, you are almost sure that it'll be related to the last mod you installed.
Anyways, glad you can finally enjoy your game bug free! \o/
