I mean, bad fps has nothing to do with RAM as i know.
Stuttering has something to do with RAM, but i don´t have stuttering. Just when it loads new area which is completely normal.
what means this `?
I have the same issue with my 5960x in cities like Cheydinhal and Leyawiin.
Also 40 fps is not crappy at all, it is very payable since this is not a fast-paced game.
from 45 to 60fps setting some of the fades to 50%.
yeah, was thinking the same. since bethesda games always profit from good cpu and ram. gpu isnt that important.
There's a setting in Oblivion's ini/configuration file under sound. ImpactSound is how load sounds are, change it from 32 to 16.
For starters, I would follow this guide's recommendations under the "stability mods" section down to the "better saves" line. :https://www.ne xusmods.com/oblivion/mods/47591 (apparently Nexus mod links are blocked on Steam now for some odd reason. Go figure lol. Just remove the space.)
You can find some additional performance tweaks throughout this guide too, but they mostly pertain to the mods listed and you probably don't want that. I'd search other sources for that. You might want to look into Oblivion Reloaded (mod) which improves the stability, performance, and graphics (and more) of Oblivion.
