Crusader armor
So...let me get this straight...if you get the Crusader armor; the slightest or smallest infraction that you do, it just goes away?

No. If you gain more than 1 point of infamy (as opposed to bounty), you'll become unable to wear it until you reset back down again. The armour doesn't magically "disappear" or anything like that.

It doesn't really go away, it just gets auto-unequipped and you can't re-equip it until you go through the Pilgramage again. The idea is that bad stuff makes you unworthy of the armor in the eyes of the Divine, so you have to re-prove your worth.

Indeed. Also, I believe getting a Bounty that reaches 1,000 will gain an Infamy Point automatically, plus one for every additional 1,000

The Crusader unfortunately is expected to be a bit of a Saint. I turned off that DLC completely because I found it distracting... Especially with all the Chapel Attacks.

Although I’ve not tried it, wearing the Grey Fox Hood should avoid you collecting infamy points. That may allow you to don the armour after removing it.

That item does indeed take any Infamy or Bounty you would have otherwise earned. It could protect you, if you turn in an Infamous Quest or do some unkindly deeds.
