The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition (2009)

Games like Oblivion
So I finally decided to purchase and play Oblivion again, after probably 5 years or so of not playing. It was wonderful experiencing Cyrodiil again, and I genuinely had a blast, further cementing it as my favorite Elder Scrolls game. Now that I've beaten the main storyline and the Shivering Isles DLC again, and am taking a short break from the game, I'm left wondering if there's any other games like Oblivion. Obviously there's Morrowind, and arguably New Vegas, but I already own both and have played them out. I'm looking for something I can immerse myself in and have a brand new feeling of wonderlust playing. Suggestions?

TL;DR I want to find more games like Oblivion, that give me similar experiences.

Fallout 3 is seen as "Oblivion, with guns".

Beaten it a few times and never really enjoyed it all that much, tbh

Nah Gothic 3, if you can get past the bugs is EPIC in land and story. Risen 1 is Gothic 3 but better. Not as big though. Risen 2 sucks and I just can't get into Risen 3 though i do own it.

I've heard a lot about Gothic and have been debating getting into it off and on over the years. Are there at least bugfixes(Mods lol) and is it as easy to jump into as the Elder Scrolls games?

There was a good patch made by user group for Gothic 3 when i played it.

Have you got Skyrim? Download this mod called "Enderal" it has it's own launcher and everything. It's a complete world conversion mod, which features a completely new world, a new story, new weapons, armor, magic, side quests, areas, characters (all of which are fully voiced, none from Skyrim), a great graphical system and a whole new soundtrack. It's pretty much it's own game, and my god is it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good.

You can always have a go at The Witcher series. You can start with the 3rd one if grapics is an issue. wonderful. very immersive games!

Just do not play Gothic 3, it's unfinished mess, a beta build at best. Try out Risen franchise, Gothic 1 and 2 if you can stand the graphics. The Witcher is good but it's more a story driven RPG, you can't really build your own protagonist, you are already a witcher. Modded to hell Morrowind is pretty decent as well even for those who have never played it. Also Enderal is amazing.

gothic 3+ community patch (its great), witcher 2-3, risen 2-3, two worlds 2, zelda, enderal, kingdoms of amalur, dragon age 1-3 (the 2nd part is real good if you can live with that the city is the "story" of some sort).

Dragon Age 2 is good? Get out of here dude XD
Jk, to each their own I guess.

I actually suggest trying Fallout 4 with the "Lush" mod that takes away the dead wasteland look and "Modern Firearms". If you are at all into guns then you will love it. Probably hundreds of guns are added to the game and you can change all of the parts out to build them however you want. Very realistic and it makes the game totally different. Basically it changes the game EVERYONE is deadly. Guns kill in a few bullets and some such as Snipers will kill in 1 shot. You basically have to play tactical but it's really fun to go into a building with a shotgun taking out everyone - idk that mod alone made Fallout awesome without it I don't think I would have enjoyed the game near as much.

I've played out Skyrim too, lol. I have Morroblivion as well, which is fun once in a while.

I didn't care for Dragon Age, tbh. Even Inquisition didn't get to me that much.

Sadly I have Fallout 4 on the PS4(I know, I know, I was traveling for work and couldn't take my PC...) But if I get the chance to get it cheap on PC I'll certainly give it a try.
