I done goofed the combat system

I wanted to talk to an NPC but she was attacking me. So I tried to use the stop combat command but i forgot to select her. So I typed just stopcombat without selecting and now I deal too much damage and when I kill somebody they jump and fall and die. What do I do?

Reload to an older save?
Did you know that while holding block and pressing your activate key ( E or Space usually ) you can get the NPC to yield in combat if they like you enough.

next time yield or charm,I'm not sure if Oblivion console commands carry over into your save
