When you attempt pickpocketing there's a chance of getting a bounty, always. As long as you don't get caught, you wont get a bounty. The same applies to reverse pickpocketing, since you're still pickpocketing. To do reverse pickpocketing you can only give the target items that weight 0.

i want to try and reverse pickpocket some decent items onto some npcs. will this effect my own gear in any negative way or cause any crashes/bugs etc?

what do I do just try to pickpocket them then go into my inventory and drop stuff into theirs? I'm guessing I would need to have some form of chameleon or invisible on whilst I did this lol?

You just need to have high skill level in sneaking, preferably not in a lit place. You just pickpocket like usual and go to your inventory and give them items. However, you can only reverse pickpocket items without any weight

One interesting thing about reverse pickpocketing is that NPC's can wear robes with their armor if they don't have leg gear.

The Black Robe is weightless. So if you Enchant a Black Robe with Health or fire or shock shield, you can reverse pickpocket it onto someone and they will wear it over their armor if you steal their leg armor from them.

Also another trick you can use to get a limited amount of the enchanted item you made, is to use the the dupe exploit.

If you reverse pickpocket a few dozen arrows onto an NPC, after you are prompted that you can't do it, adding the enchanted robe/item to their inventory right afterwards will duplicate the item up to the amount of arrows you tried to reverse pickpocket onto the npc.

Doing that will save sigil stones. you can dupe dozens of enchanted black robes or other items that way so you have plenty to reverse pickpocket onto NPC's.

Invisibilty from spells or potions makes it much easier, even if your Sneak skill is very low.

I have 100 alchemy will that help? I just kinda need to know exactly what to do lol cause I have no idea. I'm saved outside the gate for this mission whilst martin (sean bean lol) is giving his speech is it gonna be impossible for me to do this with all these guards around?
