There should be no need to do that, the game will allow you to select any resolution your monitor can support, aside from ultra-wide. It definitely will allow the use of a 1440p widescreen monitor as that is what I use, and the option does indeed show up in the list.
That is true, it doesnt have to stretch the image for this game on my monitor. I play in my native resolution just fine.
But My Oblivion isn't recognizing my rtx 2080 or my native resolution (2560x1440)
any way to fix this? I already tried Youtubing and googling the problem, but none of them seem to relate what I need help with.
