[HACKR SEE ME TRU WALL]

How do I save my game? I know how to quicksave, but there's nothing in the journal. I'm VERY new to oblivion.

Did you try going into the pause menu (the Esc key I think) and clicking save?

Is there a way I could rebind it with console?

It is esc by default that opens the in-game menu that includes the manual save option. You should be able to reset everything on the first screen you see after you launch the game.

It isn't in the controls section, though.

Escape is the only key you can't change. That is to prevent you from locking yourself out of the main Option splash screen which you access with escape key.

I think you must have messed up something in Oblivion.ini. It is the only possible way you might be able to assign escape keybinding to do something else then open Option.


Go to My Games/Oblivion folder on your user account and move it out to keep a copy, or delete it. Restart game and Oblivion will make a new Oblivion.ini with default settings.

If don't know where Oblivion.ini is, then use Windows Search on your system and it should find it.

TAB is the default keybinding to open journal with F1 to F4 for direct access to each section.


You can use Console in Oblivion to save your game.

delete oblivion.ini and restart game
