Stuck with permanent Damage Health Enchant from an NPC
So I was doing the telvanni house questline in Morroblivion and one of the friendly npcs somehow gave me the effect Ring of Toxic Cloud Damage Health 35 and it won't go away, only way to combat it is with TGM.
How can I remove this effect from my character as I cannot dispel enchantment effects? I have left the cell that the npc afflicted me with this effect but still persists.

It's an NPC's ring, not mine. The NPC is also essential, so killing them is out of the question.

Im not familiar with this cursed ring in olbivion, but my guess is that you have to complete whatever quest it is tied to.

Not tied to any quest, NPCs walked into the council house in Sadrith Mora. It's a ring that you can find as leveled loot but two npcs also have this ring, and for whatever reason got used and was triggered on me.

If im not mistaken, sadrith mora is in morrowind, not oblivion.

You clearly did not read the first post.

Can't dispel enchantments; sadly I had tried this, plus I had tried using a legitimate dispel ability (50 pts).

there is a console command that you can use to remove all items from an npcs inventory.

Or maybe pickpocket it.

Maybe it is a poison effect? Then you need to alchemy potions with dispell effect and not magicka spells to get rid of that effect. You do also have silence as an effect for both alchemy and normal spells you can cast.

Console commands have been suggested so have to look up what kind of commands that will work best for you.

In the end it sounds that there is something wrong with how this mod handles this kind of effects or at least give a hint on how one remove those rings effects when quest is over?

Maybe you should make a post to modders so that they can fix this bug in the future?

EDIT: Forgot that rings could also have enchantments. In that case I don't think you can use any dispell/silence effects as enchantment are permanent effects on items. Maybe you could try to put another enchantment on ring, if you can't get rid of ring or its effect to negate its damage?

I don't have the ring, the ring is on an NPC, it's a constant effect ring that somehow has been triggered onto me as they entered the room, they're friendly and never entered combat with me. I have tried the dispelall console command but it does not affect enchants (as the description of the command sadly), as it is a damage health enchantment constant effect of 35.

I have tried reporting it to the morroblivion team but their registration servers don't work (they don't send emails for registration to my email for whatever reason).

This is why I'm trying to find some sort of console command to remove the effect from myself as it somehow affects me even outside of the room, I've also tried changing rings (I don't have any enchanted rings myself apart from a +8 WP).

What exactly does the Enchantment say on the ring? It sounds like maybe they screwed it up somehow.

Maybe you can use TES4Edit to modify the effect on the ring, because it shouldn't be damaging you. It should do damage to enemies. That is what the Ring of Toxic Cloud does in Morrowind.

Damage Health Ring of Toxic Cloud 35. Under active effects.
Last resort is modifying the .esp it comes from.
