if you bump up the difficulty, or you level much beyond where loot stops scaling to, you'll soon find that even with efficient leveling you'll be outpaced by NPC health scaling relative to your DPS, which is the part that people chuck the ♥♥♥♥♥ about - it's not 'difficulty' so much as 'tedium'
but the way you talk about being able to one-shot enemies with that bow makes me wonder if you're just playing at minimum difficulty; bows are ludicrously underpowered in the base game without abusing sneak attacks and poisons
well I havent altered any difficulty settings so it would be whatever the default setting is. Actually this isnt entirely true I did alter the difficulty for one quest but it was one where i had to protect a bunch of npcs that were dying in one hit the battle of castle kvatch or something (i was fine) so i lowered the difficulty then put it back to the default so i could complete the quest without anyone dying lol. Im just referring to myself with this post tho.
And yeah here is the stats...
Agility 30
Marksman 0 (I was using a Drain spell to get more exp)
Glass Bow of Flames (Fire damage 15pts on strike)
Glass Bow of Freezing (Frost damage 15pts on strike). I use this on flame atronachs
arrow of cleansing (fire damage 40pts in 10ft for 2 secs on strike).
I even tried using iron arrows and everything still dies in pretty much one hit lol. I have alchemy 100 so can apply lethal poisons too.
Difficulty of the slider is in the middle
then again, in reference to marksman, this reminds me of one incident i had at kvatch
at the standard difficulty, i did manage to one-shot a fellow soldier (accidentally, i swear) with an elven bow, so i suppose depending on the base damage of the bow, it might be possible on some enemies
some daedra, too, with ice enchantments
oblivion's kinda tempramental, it seems
You also neglected some of your attributes for the purpose of maxing out the more important attributes to your class. Now those are already maxed out at level 14, so npc's will never have a chance to catch up or surpass you.
Many people don't use efficient leveling, because it can be a little tedious micro managing skills. Those are the people that complain, when they fall behind on their skills and the game become too difficult.
There is a difficulty slider in the options that can make it a more challenging experience. I suggesy playing with that setting.
I turned it back up though. I may turn it all the way up not sure yet.
Yeah Im pretty much op but the one things I hate in the game is that you cant effectively roleplay if you're doing efficient levelling and honestly its a pain in the ass. You could do it morrowind due to unlimited training but this 5 training limit sucks. If there was decent controller support I would play on pc with mods but I tried that and it didnt work out to well
