Can't pray at altar even though fame exceeds infamy
Just started a new game and I did the quest at Aleswell which resulted in me getting the -50 luck penalty. No biggie, just go to an altar and pray, right? Wrong, even though my fame is higher than my infamy I'm ''wicked and must repent''. The only thing I can think of being wrong here is that I'm in the middle of the Knights of Nine's Pilgrimage.

Can anyone confirm or deny this? Does anyone have any idea what's going on? Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Never mind, I'm an idiot. Pay your taxes, kids.

Yep, was just about to delete the topic as well after figuring that out. Thanks though!

Yeah. Bounty. But... Ancotar or whatever his name is hands you a ring if you speak to him some more on that quest. If you wear it. No curse on you when you use the scroll in town.

Yeah I read about that on UESP but couldn't find out how to get the ring. I figure it had to do with him having 0 disposition and since he's invisible and I'm broke it was pretty hard to raise disposition.

Even if you have to play the minigame you should be able to get it past 50 or something just by listening to positive/negative feedback from him. Though you should just have a unblanked out option somewhere to ask him and he should give it to you.
