How do I make money
Level 10 and only 287 gold. Help me

I don't want to progress into the Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild, or Mages Guild (yet). I want to preferably make money through combat and dungeon raiding

potions, there's plenty of stuff in those crates early game, also get the Bag of Holding http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/4065/? just make sure to save as it drops though the ground.also do the quest The Collector, those Alyeid statues are worth a bit when you hand all 10 in

find large cave/ruin/fort near a town. sell everything in it over few trips. bam, you are rich.

ignore goblin and animal caves. most profitable are vampires and marauders. and sometimes bandits.
at lvl 10 you won't find any decent rings etc,not until lvl 20 does it become worth cave diving, do some Deadric quests Namira Azura Nocturnal Peryite, also get the Siege of Kvatch out of the way, at higher lvls it's imposible, plus you get some nice armour lvl 4 is when i charge in

that's why i said "sell everything". such way is not really about fewer valuable items, but about loads of less valuable items.

it really pays off time/gold/level-wise, try it.

Classic TES strategy right there, sell everything that isn't bolted down.

If you cannot carry it all out the first time do not be afraid to go back and get more. I had one place that I went back 3 times and by the way the game loaded new characters for me to kill so I got more.

I sell just about everything I get and I rob my friends. I was a Blade and cleaned Cloud Ruler Temple out of house and home. Those Katana's were worth a lot of money.

You do what you have to do to survive and prosper in the game. Training costs lots of money.

At Level-1 I was the hero of Kvatch and went to Oblivion. Already caved dived by then. With that said I prefer to play for fun so I play EASY MODE. Believe me even at EASY you can still die.

At Level-17 I am the Hero of Cyrodiil and Commander of the Nine. Playing EASY mode is more fun.

Well than fight and raid dungeons. At level 10 I always have around 15-20k.

I like to rob houses for food which I then alchemise into potions (ususally restore fatigue at low alchemy levels) then sell.

Potions, potions and potions :)
At low levels take everything you can see in the world, go to a merchant, buy only low cost materials, make every potion you can (price is not defined by the potion type) and sell.
At higher level you could forget to get everything in the world, just buy nearly everything (check the sell price before buying) from the merchant, make potions and sell.
Remember to upgrade when possible at least Mortar and Pestle, that affect the price.
As a bonus, you can keep the potions you need (and I used quite a huge number of restore potions)

Don't forget to join the fighter's and mage's guilds. Even if you don't do the quests, the legal pilfering in those places is well worth it (even though it can be a little time-consuming).
One word, Arena.
