game crashes when trying to enter oblivion gate (in kvatch)

If you have the same problem then you have to start a new game / new character (started to crash for me again but it still might work for other people)

I tried getting rid of all my graphics mods and other things on the internet but the game keeps crashing whenever i try to enter the oblivion gate in kvatch.

lmao the mod called hentai mania ... anyway did you verify file integrity. steam game library-->right click game--> properties-->local files-->verify.

if that doesnt work then check your load order, you dont have to uninstall them or anything

if the problem still occurs then maybe check to see if the mods are even installed properly, in the right place, etc. you can try deactivating your mods and see if that works. other than that idk what the probelm could be.

i validated my game files and moved around the load order of mods but it didnt work also i have mods that dont show up in the load order

i used BOSS but it still crashes when i try to enter the gate

used the movetoqt command and i got into oblivion fine and then the game crashed when i died so it think its a problem when its loading

Unfortunately, I would not know anything about that. Strange bug indeed, all I can say, and all I can really suggest is doing some googling, on the off chance that the crash is caused by a mod in particular.

Thats another thing to try, in fact. Disable mods 1 by 1 until you can enter the gate just fine. Tedious as ♥♥♥♥, but great way to check for the culprit.

Well, have you tried disabling all your mods 1 by 1 until you find the culprit, if it is from a mod?

yes but it didnt work so im reinstalling the game

Alright. Make sure to delete the left-over steam files afterwards if you're looking for a clean installation. They're where the game is normally installed.
