Endgame question
So, yeah, just finished the game and all that, but the Imperial City is a mess! Will it eventually get rebuilt, or is it like in Skyrim where after the Civil War, everything stays...broken? Will I need to get a mod to make it look like it used to be? I've only just finished the main story, but I still want to do the other quests, and the DLC quests.
Please let me know, I rather enjoy these beautiful backgrounds...

The Imperial City stays damaged unless you get a mod.

The lack of immediate rebuilding actually makes a lot of sense considering the lore. The real trouble with the Oblivion Crisis was that it exposed the Empire as being a house of cards. They were already stretched thin trying to control all the restless provinces at once, which is why they couldn't just recall the Legion to reinforce the cities during the Invasion. It's likely that it would take years to scrape togther the budget and manpower from what remained of the Empire, before any significant progress could be made in rebuilding any of the major structures that they lost.

Or the devs didn't feel like scripting one more quest event, there's also that possibility. :teddy:
