Installation/launch instructions are different for STEAM/non-STEAM versions of OBSE.
i googled around and other people seem to have the same problem. im guessing obse needs an update but idoubt that will happen
Hmm... I installed it as per the instructions for STEAM users and it seems to work for me. Only mods I use are Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul, unofficial patches and Darnified UI. I'm pretty sure OBSE is required for at least Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul... right?
it probally doesn't work for you either. if you download obse tester on nexus you can know for sure
I suspect you're just not installing it correctly, I've never see any other posts about it not working for people. You've been the only one who seems to have a problem with it. It's definitely working in my game, I even ran that tester mod to be sure.
Welp i found the problem
i had everything correctly installed.
except, i managed to not see the "obse_steam_loader.dll" and i instead copied the regulair loader.
thanks for all the help! i already gave up hope. whoops
