Crusader armor
I couldn't quite find the info I wanted elsewhere, so I'm coming to all of you knowledgeable peoples. What is strictly forbidden and makes me unworthy of the armor? I know killing is, but what about breaking into a house and stealing stuff; or pickpocketing? I think I did that with the armor on and no message came up. Does it depend at all on bounty? Can I use any Daedric artifacts and the Crusader armor at the same time? I know it doesn't work with the Grey Cowl of Nocturnal.

I already completed the Thieves Guild and I can't do the DB - I killed Lucien 'cause I ain't about that life. Is there any way to restore my infamy to zero before it gets too bad w/o going to all the shrines?

It all has to do with your Infamy rating (check your in-game stats to see this). If you do anything that gets your Infamy rating higher than one, you automatically become unworthy of wearing the armor. All the stuff you listed will increase it, and by completing the Thieves Guild questline, you already have a bunch of Infamy points (those quests all add to Infamy). There are also other quests that might add to Infamy, depending on what happens during those quests.

When you say all the stuff I listed, that includes Daedric stuff? What if the madgod gave me a gift to use?

I don't know about the Daedric quests. Unless I'm wrong, it probably depends on the individual quest. Sheogorath's quest doesn't give you one if you carried it out successfully. Getting the Wabbajack won't give you infamy, but using it might.

I don't get it. You said you could not find the info. But here it is:
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=oblivion+crusader+armor

The second one is a little better, but both tell you all you need to know. You can do something to help your situation. You could have had your info in less time than it took to post your question. You really, really do not know about wikis and Google??????????

They do not tell me all I need to know. I already searched and that answered some of my questions, but it made no mention of daedric quests, and did not tell me if unseen stealing results in infamy. It also made no mention of my bounty making a difference. If I wanted to take the time, I could Google every daedric quest to find out what the effects are, but I figured somebody on here already knew and I could save the near hour or so that would take.

I don't know if maybe you are trolling, but you really, really do not know that this is the place to ask questions about the game??????????

Look up the daedric quests on this website - it'll tell you if they add infamy or no.

You have infamy. To get rid of it, you have to walk the way of the crusader. Just go to 9 (not 8. ♥♥♥♥ the none believers) shrines around the region.

I know that I can look them up to see if they add infamy, I just didn't want to take all the time to do that if I could find the answer much easier and more succinctly here. Apparently not all of them do (as mentioned here) so if I ever want to do any, I'll have to look it up. But I hate most daedra anyway, I'd prefer they leave humans alone (except Akatosh, Sheogorath, and Meridia - undead suck).

Thanks to those who gave helpful information.

Also, Milky, agreed. Oblivion outright tells you multiple times that Talos ascended into godhood.

Akatosh isn't daedra, though O_o

My bad, I sometimes mix up my divines and daedra. I had also been doing school. Total brain failure. Forgive me Akatosh...

It's fine.

The difference between Daedra and Aedra is a squishy line, anyways.

not really. Those who went away from mundus are aedra. Those who stayed are daedra. There is no good/bad here.
