Mod Detectives
Hello! This is a thread to find old mods and help others find them too! I'll start. I'm looking for "vampiric visages" by Magic Nakor. Its not the varied version and is missing all over.


Why do we need to find old mods?
Most of the file sites that held morrowind got nuked by the owners at times, and the main download site, Fileplanet, was killed by ign and many mods were lost.

Some mods are gone becuase the person that made them wants then to be gone.If you searched all of the mod sites and did not find it that is likely the case here.


If a mod just vansishes then that usually means that the perosn/s that worked on the mod no longer support it and have moved on.If they where actively supporting their mod they would post it some place.

The only options then are to either get the file from someone that has it which is a bit risky or find a mod that does somehting similar that is still suppotered by the modder.

I am looking for the "New Improved Magic Shimmer Effect" mod by tclord. And/Or the "Reduced Intensity" version of it. I seem to recall that being the best mod for replacing the awful magic effects in the game that I used in the past. Now that I have re-installed the game through the Steam Version (to get the expansions and have the ease of no-cd without hacks), I want to re-install it, but all links to it are dead.

Has anyone out there saved it? I'd love to start using it again. The plastic wrap default effect is SOOOO BAAAAADDD.

Thank You. I will have to install and test it to be sure, but I think this is the one I've been looking for. At least the download actually works.
